Customer story: NBO (New Business Office)

No need to teach Qaicu: it comes ready for finance work

“I’ve had to teach other AIs: give your sources, don’t flatter me, answer logically. I haven’t prompted Qaicu at all.”

NBO offers data-driven B2B sales outsourcing and new customer acquisition. CEO Ossi Merisalo found Qaicu on the recommendation of its founder, Juhamatti. Ossi thinks a CEO should have a good grasp of finance too, so he wants to keep developing his financial understanding. He uses Qaicu monthly, in step with the company’s accounting cycle. What struck him most was that Qaicu needs no teaching at all.

No prompting, answers already thought through

Ossi has used other AI tools and had to teach them how to answer. With Qaicu he doesn’t have to, because the tool comes built for the finance context.

“You can clearly tell the development work has taken into account the finance context Qaicu works in. The tone and structure of the answers have been thought through in advance for this kind of use. A general AI has to be taught, because otherwise what you get is generic and flattering.”

How Ossi uses Qaicu

Qaicu is linked to Procountor, the Finnish accounting system, so Ossi doesn’t have to export financial files anywhere. Each month he goes through the figures before talking them over with his CFO, and checks things afterwards too.

“I don’t have to take the month’s profit and loss or other documents and put them into some AI separately. Sometimes the question is a simple one, like whether an invoice has been paid.”

The full history, just by asking

Ossi says the most important thing is that the full history and all the data are one question away.

“I can ask what the receivables were at the same time last year, and they come straight up. It makes it easier to see the big picture. If you need to check something quickly, it’s easy to do in Qaicu.”

Who Ossi recommends Qaicu to

“I’d recommend it to the CEO of a small or medium-sized company, which is what I am myself, if they’re interested in learning and developing their own understanding of finance. Especially if you combine it with conversations with a finance professional, that combination is pretty good. A CEO who’s interested in finance and has the chance to talk things over with a finance manager or CFO will use Qaicu to build up their own understanding of finance and their ability to act on it.”
